Flexi-jobs in construction: more breathing room on the site

A completion date drawing near, a temporary peak in workload, or employees unexpectedly calling in sick? You want to be able to deploy your own flexible staff quickly, without getting bogged down in contracts and administration.

Flexi-jobs can provide construction companies with extra breathing room. However, since the expansion of the flexi-job system to the construction sector, clear rules apply. What wages must you pay? Which conditions must your flexi-jobber meet? And what administration do you, as an employer, need to settle?

We have outlined the most important rules and explain how BrickJobs easily manages your employees’ payroll for you.

Flexi-jobs in PC 124: what are the rules?

Do you want to hire a flexi-jobber within PC 124? As an employer, you must take several important conditions into account.

  • You follow the sectoral salary scales
The hourly wage is not freely determined. The flexi-wage is linked to the official job and experience scales of the construction sector and may not exceed 150% of the basic scale.
  • You pay an employer’s contribution of 28%
As an employer, you pay a special RSZ contribution of 28% on the flexi-wage. This ensures that a flexi-job remains financially attractive.
  • Safety rules remain fully applicable
Flexi-jobbers must also have completed the mandatory basic safety training and have the correct personal protective equipment. On a safe construction site, the same rules apply to everyone.
  • Conditions are verified via Dimona
A flexi-jobber must have worked at least 4/5ths for another employer in the third quarter prior to employment. Different conditions apply to retirees. The Dimona FLX declaration is used to check if someone is eligible.

Flexi-jobs therefore remain an attractive way to flexibly expand your own team. However, contracts, wages, Dimona declarations, and safety documents must be correctly arranged.

You have the employee, BrickJobs handles the payroll

Do you know someone you want to hire on a flexible or permanent basis? You can register that employee yourself via BrickJobs.

BrickJobs is not a temporary staffing agency and does not recruit personnel for you. It is a payroll platform for the construction sector. You bring in the employee yourself, and BrickJobs ensures that the employment and administration are handled correctly.

  • Create your own contracts
Easily create a contract for your flexible or permanent employee and submit the hours worked. BrickJobs handles the rest.
  • The administration is handled for you
From the Dimona declaration and the digital workstation file to documents for bad weather unemployment: everything is processed correctly and kept in a clear overview.
  • Always work with the correct wage
The salary scales of PC 124 are integrated into the platform. This ensures your employee’s wage is calculated correctly according to construction sector rules.
  • Arrange everything when it suits you
You can create a contract 24/7, including evenings and weekends. This can be done up to one hour before your employee starts. So you don’t have to wait for an office to open.
  • Pay only for the hours worked
No startup costs or unexpected extras. You only pay for the hours that were actually worked.
